Stolen Vehicle Identification

When we are hired to examine a burnt vehicle that had previously been reported stolen, our task is twofold: first to verify the theft details and to determine the cause of the fire. As with all fires, our first point is to verify the identity of the vehicle being examined.  As this is confidential information, we cannot divulge how we do this.  Our next point is to determine the point of entry into the vehicle.  We do this by carefully examining the exterior of the vehicle for evidence relating to forcefully entering the vehicle.  Once we complete this task and have determined if there is evidence to support the forcible entry, we enter the vehicle to confirm whether the windows were compromised prior to the fire or because of it. Once this step is complete, we conduct a deep dive into the fire debris to verify whether other physical and technology security systems were bypassed or whether a correctly cut and coded key was used to last operate the vehicle.  We have had several comments on our examinations into these cases: Law Enforcement: Outstanding report, very detailed and comprehensive.  Claims: Excellent report, easy to follow and very detailed. Legal counsel: Excellent report and investigation, very thorough and informative, proving the loss scenario.
